Native Yard Makeover

This project transformed a traditional yard into a more sustainable and regionally appropriate landscape by incorporating native and well-adapted plants. The redesign focused on creating a natural look that reflects the character of the surrounding environment while improving water efficiency and long-term landscape resilience.

Existing turf and underperforming plantings were selectively removed to make way for new planting areas designed to support local wildlife and thrive in the West Texas climate. Curved beds and layered plant groupings were introduced to add depth, seasonal interest, and visual movement throughout the landscape.

The updated yard now provides a balanced combination of beauty and function, requiring less water and maintenance while creating a more natural connection to the surrounding ecosystem. The result is a welcoming outdoor space that highlights the benefits of using native plants in residential landscapes.
