Hummer House Fountain

Located eighteen miles south of San Angelo near the spring-fed South Concho River, the Hummer House is a renowned destination for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers. Known as the summer home to Texas’ largest concentration of breeding Black-chinned Hummingbirds, this unique West Texas oasis attracts visitors who come to experience the remarkable gathering of these tiny birds in their natural habitat.

This project focused on renovating the central fountain and surrounding garden area to enhance both the beauty of the landscape and the visitor experience. The work included restoring the fountain as a visual focal point while refreshing the surrounding garden beds, pathways, and seating areas to create a welcoming space for observation and relaxation.

The renovated garden now provides a tranquil setting where visitors can enjoy the sights and sounds of the landscape while watching hummingbirds and other wildlife that frequent the area. Thoughtful landscape improvements ensure the space remains both visually appealing and supportive of the natural environment that makes the Hummer House such a treasured destination.
